How to find the best affiliate programs with Skimlinks Merchant Search

When you log into the publisher hub hub Skimlinks calm, you’ll notice at the top. There is a merchants tab which is located next to the performance tab in the top navigation bar by the way for more details about our performance.

Tab check out our previous video about skinny’s; performance reports. It’s, also on our youtube channel. Now the information in the merchants section will help. You discover the affiliate programs available to you, as well as their commission rates, for each of your sites clicking on the merchants.

Tab automatically launches the merchants search using the search panel on the left hand, side of the screen. You can search for a merchant by name or domain, where you can search for specific merchants that you have in mind.

You can search by category where you can filter by specific industries. For example, if you have a blog in the automotive industry, you can filter by car accessories, cars motorbike accessories or motorbikes, for example, you can also search by country.

So if a lot of your readers are based in the United States, you can filter to only see affiliate programs that are available in that country. If a merchants program operates across multiple countries, you’ll, see this highlighted under the merchants name, and you can find out more information about which countries.

By going on that merchants profile page, you can search by rate type, including exclusive to you, which means that we have negotiated an exclusive Commission rate for some or all of your domains and preferred shows the merchants that belong to our preferred partner program.

To be part of the preferred partner program, these merchants have set high commission rates to increase their exposure to our publisher network. You can search by program type, including CPA, meaning that the merchant pays on a cost per acquisition basis.

In other words, you get paid when your readers buy something from that merchant by CPC, which means that the merchant pays on a cost per click basis. In other words, you get paid when your readers click through to the merchants website or by dynamic, which means that the merchant pays Commission, using both CPC and CPA programs and our technology optimizes.

The readers clicks towards the program that will make you the most revenue per click. So if the CPC program will make you more revenue than the CPA program, then we’ll, send their click to the CPC program without changing the destination URL and without increasing page load time.

You can also filter by favourites when you find merchants who are relevant to your audience and that you would like to work with. You can add them to your favorites by selecting the heart icon to the left of the merchants name.

Then you can take favorites, and only your favorite merchants will populate in the table to the right of the search panel. You can use this feature like you would use a food shopping list so that you don’t forget about any merchants that you spot undergo at the top of the table.

The download button enables you to export the merchant data into a CSV file and, if you scroll to the bottom of the table, you can select whether you would like to see 25 or 50 rows of data. If you don’t enter any search criteria in the search panel, then the table will automatically populate your exclusive merchants.

First, followed by preferred merchants followed by the rest of the merchants in our network. Merchants are also sorted by their order volume by default. So the merchants at the top are the ones currently making the most revenue right now across our entire network of 60,000 publish this means that the merchants at the top of this list have proven to be very popular, so you may want to consider working with them.

Another strong indicator for which merchants you should work with is their EPC. A quick reminder on what is EPC. Epc stands for earnings per click. It is one of if not the most important metric for skimmings publishers, as it takes into account these three key metrics.

A merchants average order value conversion rates and Commission rate EPC helps you to determine not only the advertisers who will pay you the most, but also which advertisers your readers want to shop from and how much they tend to spend with each retailer, which makes EBC a Great indicator of performance for publishers, so, if possible, make sure to prioritize working with merchants who have the highest epcs, because they will pay you more for each click that you sent to them moving on.

If you click on a particular merchants name, it will launch the merchants profile page in the merchants overview panel. On the left hand side you can see information about that merchant, including which of their domains, are monetized and the industry categories they belong to on the right overview.

You can see average commission and EPC, as well as network imported rates on the right-hand side. You can see performance statistics such as average conversion rate and average basket size. You can also add this merchants view list of favorites by clicking on the add favorite button at the top right hand, side of the screen.

If you toggle to the merchants offers tab, you will see offers imported from that merchants. Affiliate Network offers are great for commerce content topics about special deals happening in your industry.

For example, if you have a blog specializing in cosmetics, you could write about the best makeup. Deals in 2020, or if you have a blog specializing in fashion, you could write a post on the 10 best shoes on sale right now offers are also a great way to improve your revenue.

Our data shows that sales offers improve conversion rates by 4 percent. On average and coupon offers improve conversion rates by 8.5 % on average, so make sure to test using offers with your audience when relevant.
